Interview package

Hello, lads and lasses! Would you mind looking a bit over my interview package?

1. Official forms:

DS-156, DS - 156 K - both unsigned

Do I need part two from DS-320? I didn't get that one in the package.

2. Copies of NOA1, NOA2, NVC paper.

3. Birth certificate, original + copy.

4. Police certificate.

5. Medical papers.

6. Proof of relationship: Yahoo mess logs showing we chat daily, going back from 2009, my phone bills for the last year, showing we text a couple of times a day at least, passport stamps, showing a total of 8 months spent in Romania, 10 photos from different places,letters and postcards I've sent him, a valentine, 2 cards that came with the flowers,a Christmas card from a friend of his, bank statements showing he was here in dec. 2010-jan. 2011, random receipts.

7. Financial evidence:

A. from him: letter of employment, last year's tax returns, 10 pay stubs, 1-134

B. from the co-sponsor: letter of employment, last three year's tax returns, 4 pay stubs, 1-134, copy of birth certificate.

AOS/EAD/AP [*] 04 February 2013 - AOS/EAD/AP package sent; [*] 07 February 2013 - AOS/EAD/AP package delivered; [*] 12 February 2013 - NOA1 text messages/emails; [*] 16 February 2013 - NOA1 received in the regular mail; [*] 28 February 2013 - Biometrics letter received (appointment date, March 8th); [*] 04 March 2013 - Biometrics walk-in completed (9 out of 10 fingerprints taken, pinky would not give in); [*] 04 April 2013 - EAD/AP card approved; [*] 11 April 2013 - Combo card sent/tracking number obtained; [*] 15 April 2013 - Card delivered.

[*] 15 May 2013 - Moved from MN to LA; [*] 17 May 2013 - Applied for a new SS card/filed an AR-11 online (unsuccessfully), therefore called and spoke to a Tier 2 and changed the address; [*] 22 May 2013 - Address updated on My Case Status (finally can see the case numbers online); [*] 28 May 2013 - Letter received in the mail confirming the change of address; [*] 31 July 2013 - Went to Romania; [*] 12 September 2013 - returned to the US using the AP, POE Houston, everything went smoothly; [*] 20 September 2013 - Spoke to a Tier2 and put in a service request; [*] 23 September 2013 - Got "Possible Interview Waiver" letter (originally sent on August, 29th to my old address, returned and re-routed to my current address); [*] 1 October 2013 - Started a new job.

Normally, the DS 156 has to be signed. The one that shouldn't be signed, is the DS 156K.

For the DS 230, they also, normally only request the first part.

I have a question for you though. Did you get an actual packet 3 with instructions? If so, your best bet is to follow the instructions on it. At this stage, there are things that seem to be Embassy specific; so I'm sure someone from Romania will be able to give you better and precise information.

Ok, thanks a lot. I did get a package, but I found the instructions a bit on the unclear side, so I thought I should ask just to be sure.

In my instructions, they did say not to sign the DS-156, so I'll go by that, it is easier to sign smth than to undo a signature.

good.gif Yup, true! Just go by what the instructions say, and if there's something there that's unclear, you can post the "instruction" and we can help you figure it out.
