Highlighting Specific Information on Flight Itineraries

Hello,

I just printed out many pages of the multiple itineraries from my and my partner's flights to and from New York. In an effort to make the process easier for the USCIS officials handling my K-1 (form I-129F) visa application, and because there are so many pages, I'm considering highlighting my name, my partner's name, and the dates of travel. Has anyone done this? Should I leave the copies untouched? Is highlighting advisable?

Itineraries don't prove that anyone traveled.

Passport stamps and boarding passes are proof that a person did travel and enter a country.

Excellent point - we'll scan each page of each of our passports. (Alas, boarding passes have been discarded.)

USCIS recommends not highlighting because some of their copying equipment could "black out" that area. You can always circle the information to draw attention to an area.

If you're sending itineraries as easier to read supplemental information, be sure to clip copies of the actual boarding passes, etc. to them. Itineraries alone are not acceptable evidence.

Agree with the other posters, itineraries are not proof of actual travel and highlighting is not a good idea as it could result in key information appearing "blacked out" when it is scanned. Furthermore, the I-129F is not a visa application, it is the petition form. The numbers on the visa application form(s) are preceded by the letters DS.
