just a quick question, as a supporting documents for my affidavit of support, i ordered a tax transcript over the phone through irs, i received it yesterday, it's 3 pages front and back, is this ok instead of the whole packet that you get when filling tax?

Yes, hence it's name...transcript. It's a compilation of your tax return in a condensed format.
