No Article, I just happened to notice China's growth rate for the first quarter was very low - Something like 1.8%.

Prepare for a drop in commodities.

Gas is already heading south. A few weeks back, we were right at $3.90 a gallon. Now we're below $3.40 and prices go down pretty much daily. Won't be long before we're back under $3.00 a gallon.

Think where brass prices will be going slim. :)

I don't use brass.

... but I'll play along. Obama is gun salesman of the century. With any luck, he's going to make me a pretty penny come December. Remember in 2009 when ammo doubled in price? Or, how about all those "I better buy a $1200 rifle" white guys from the suburbs?

It probably won't be as bad this go-round but if the NRA has their way, we'll be seeing blue helmets on Main Street (well, at least on their website) by New Years and I'll be able to retire to my private island.

Buy solar.

Buy ammo. (Brass, steel, plastic... whatever!)

Brass prices will be falling, making ammo cheaper.

Maybe. Brass is getting harder to get in California because of content rules. So, I suppose it depends on the market. I am currently on the look-out for brass pot scrubbing brushes for my cast iron pans. I don't think that matters for ammo, but it does make a difference if you are trying to buy a plumbing fixture, or evidently, a scrub brush.

What, and no Federal Trade Commission investigation into the evil speculators who are driving the price of oil down?

The price of oil is still inflated. I remember the Exxon CEO saying that pure supply and demand would put oil at $60.00 - $70.00 a barrel.

Rex Tillerson, the boss of ExxonMobil admitted last week that the price of oil–based purely on supply and demand- should be in the $60 to $70 a barrel range. The reason it’s above $100 a barrel, Tillerson explained, is due to the oil majors using futures contracts to lock in current high prices, and speculation that is engineered by the high-frequency trading of quantitative hedge funds.
