My daughter actually sleep through the night already, she sleep from 9pm-6pm. She's actually a happy baby, and I guess she can laugh out loud anytime she want in our own property. Just too bad that our neighbor across the street can hear her and hates it :) .

She probably doesnt have kids that she doesnt understand babies can be loud sometimes.

Even an ignorant racist can be tolerant, at times. But miserable, hateful, intolerant fools, well, they're just plain miserable and intolerant.

Be our leader, you know so much and are so convinced of the truth of everything you say, it is just amah-zing!

I dont think your neighbor is a racist. She just doesnt like noise. I dont like those loud motorbikes too, but I just have to live with it, otherwise I would have to isolate myself in the wilderness if I could not tolerate them. :-) I have a 17 mons old baby. Sometimes, he wakes up in the middle of the night screaming for "baba" but Id rush to the windows and close it so he wont wake up the neighbors but I know there are times that even if the windows are close, the neighbors maybe still hear him. Im just probably lucky that our neighbors arent like yours. :-)

Btw, your baby is beautiful. If ur husband decides to accept a job offer in albany, and u want to make friends let me know. :-) wla me filipino friend dto. (Kung gusto mo lng hehe...:-) )

How's the weather there during winter ? Husband still undecided coz of some few reasons.

Chains do not hold a marriage together. It is threads, hundreds of tiny threads which sew people together through the years.

Not really, however, I expect the thread to be locked -- that tone is in the air. The folks that don't ride or don't like HDs for whatever reason(s), seem to have a need to make disparaging remarks about the brand. Even some HD owners do the same #######, I have never understood why it matters what a person rides, as long as they ride and ride safely. I would rather encourage more folks to ride instead of propetuating some silly 'my brand of bike is better than 'X' brand.'

Hey Leatherneck...no disparagement here...just the facts! :P

I say...ride and let ride.

On your scooter's plus side...a high poser factor and a good resale value. ;)

Everybody knows babies are loud. What I don't get is why parents think other people should put up with them - and I am not even talking about babies crying for a specific reason (those can't be helped and it is no one's fault). I am referring to the cases - very much like this one -, when the parents feel entitled to ruin everyobody's silence because it is their baby.

I think you will never get it unless you become a parent( dont know if you are a parent). No parent would want their kids/babies to ruin other people's silence. That's why when my baby cries Id rush.to the windows and close them if they are open. Im sure, had the OP known that her baby was that loud she would have closed her windows. :-)

Not really, she said so herself. Read the thread again. Also, add the insults to it, and you get the type of person she is.

Yes, you can be an ignorant racist, an intolerant fool and a selfish, hateful, negative, miserable individual, sure you can.

...with nothing ever pleasant or positive to say.

Maybe she just felt entitled because she was in her house?

Based upon:

0-60 acceleration

quarter-mile acceleration

passing acceleration

power-to-weight ratio

top speed

handling

cornering ground clearance

braking

vibration

noisy pipes

tinnitis

Any other questions? :)

Sorry I did not get back to you sooner. Rather than address each of your points, I'll keep it general. Your list seems to be a bigger issue for those that want to "go-fast" or have the need to have a rocket beneath their crotch. HDs are not designed to be crotch rockets with 'peel your face back' performance, there are other manufacturers that fill that need -- good thing the bike market provides for the needs/likes for all motorcyclists, HDs are less about how fast you arrive and more about enjoying the ride and comfort along the way.

I haven't had an issue with anything you listed, my CVO 110 Street Glide has all the power I need to pass/accelerate and get me to my destination, at my age, I want to survive to ride another day. Zero-to-60 in 2 seconds does not impress me anymore, at age 21 and stupid, yes it did -- at 49, no thanks.

PS. Loud pipes are not synonymous with HDs. :D

Well, so it happens the noise has this annoying habit of travelling, and then it isn't in her house anymore. Now, if she could only bend the laws of physics.
