Good Afternoon,

I came on here to see others experience in this hard road and how they managed to hold a smile and continue on with life. I have been dating Leury for almost 2 years and we are looking at our options to be together here in Boston. We are looking at the Fiance Visa. I came on here for the support and advice from everyone.

Thank you for listening

WELCOME TO VJ! Like the person said above, read the guides she what Visa is best for you.

http://www.visajourney.com/content/compare

Once you figure out the Visa you want, just read the steps to filing the petition, then how to apply for visa, and how to get ready for the interview. There is a ton of information here and plenty of people are here going through the same thing you are, so don't be afraid to ask questions. We'll guide you through the best way we can (especially in this portal).

Wish you the best on your journey.

K1 Visa Process -> 12/09-06/10 Married -> 09/10/10 AOS Process -> 09/10-12/10 Removal of Conditions-> 09/12-07/13

I read the Link! Thanx!

Is it best to have a lawyer help you out with it! (just because it does look for confusing :crying:

I just want have everything go smoothly!!!!!!!1

Hi Yoly! Welcome to the site, glad you found it! I am from Boston too :D , and recently finished the process and my husband is FINALLY here with me in Boston as of 8 days ago!!!!

A lawyer is NOT necessary and more than often useless for this process. At first, the process may seem confusing but if you can read and comprehend then you will do fine. You have a LARGE Dominican member community here on this site and we all help eachother out so read up and don't hesitate to ask any questions. :star:

Take a look at the difference between the fiance (K1) and spousal (CR-1) visa and see what the best option for you is. For me, it was CR-1 for many reasons, but for you it may be different. Anyway, read up, there are tons of guides on here and again tons of people to help you out.

Best of Luck!

Thanks. One thing you can start doing is thinking if you and your fiance have any red flags that the CO (Consul) might wonder about during the interview. If you both prepare well, rejection should not be the case.

Welcome! Welcome! Bienvenida!! As all the others have stated before me, The Lawyer is NOT necessary!! Read, Read and Read. This site has been very helpful for me thus far. My only advise will be just in case someone did not mention it before is Always prepare!! I try to have everything ready Well before hand just in case you hit some snags. The CR-1 for me WAS definately the best option, however the time spent away is the worst!! But in everything will fall into place. Anyways Good Luck on your Journey and please try to remember that this is a Marathon not a race!! Patience and Faith is Key!!

Gracias Carino,

My question is, how do you track calls if you are calling with a phone card?

What i did was print a couple of call logs from my phone company and highlighted the # of the calling card. I also saved 1500 calling cards over 4 years and took them to the interview. But they didn't even look at any of that, they never really do. They care more about pictures and passport stamps showing the visits you made.

Welcome Yoly,

I am new to this site, but before I started my process all I did was read read and more reading and then found this website, and let me tell you I didn't have to ask any questions, everyone here has been very helpfull and some questions you might have are answer. You don't need a lawyer, if you know how to fill out a job application you could do this, just read and gather all the evidence to make your case stick. Phone bills, calling cards, pictures, any financial help you give him (sending money) text messages, what I did also was take sreen shot of facebook conversations, just in case. Also your flight itineraries and make copies of your stamp passport. Ask away and you will get the guidance you need. We are all facing similar situations here at VJ.

Bienvenida de nuevo y mucha suerte en tu decision!!!
