Not to burst your bubble but one punch breaking a nose can lead to blackening both eyes, and falling down backwards easily explains 'lacerations' which simply mean cuts and therefor the word is not indicative of the severity. Starting a fight and losing it should never be a defense for using deadly force to stop said fight.

Not pre-judging the case, but I am safely assuming you think the injuries as described in this article justify the shooting? If so back to the drawing board.

Yes, exactly. It could be that way. If I am a 7 year old, no. If I am a 17 year old 6 feet tall and not only "theow a punch" but connect and break your nose and then force you to the ground and bang your head on the concrete...oh yeah.

Words would likely not be judged to be able to cause fear of death or serious injury. A punch to the nose absolutely can. It will be judged by a jury of 12 in Florida and those 12 jurors must unanimously agree that Zimmerman was NOT in fear of death or serious injury.

The medical report does not help that case. I suppose that is why it was not posted by our liberal internet slueths. Didn't fit the agenda

What "you might do" is relevant. If what you do is inflict "the injuries as described in this article" (note that no mention was made of whether the claims are true or false), then yes, you can reasonably expect someone with a gun to take you out.

Either way. IF (and that's a big IF - the courts will decide) the story is true, then lethal force was justified.

You know what went down as well as everyone else. The deceased was talking to a women on a cell phone. He wanted to score points with her. Show her he was a big man about town. Told her "This guy is giving me no respect". He is dissing me. He goes up to Zimmerman to put a few moves coach taught him from football and cold cocks him.Down zimmerman goes and is jumped upon. His head is being smacked against the cement curve.He made a fatal error in judgment. He assulted a man with a gun. This case should be written up as a sucide for attacking a man with a gun.
