OH I see, your petition was approved, not your visa

If your K3 snuck through, I'd still do the CR-1

Good luck

Wow!! That's odd. Do you know if you're I-130 and I-129F arrived at NVC at the same time?

Both petitions were approved by USCIS, USCIS does not approve visas. You interviewed for one visa type and that visa was approved.

yes.. the NVC received the documents the same time :)

Having both petitions approved at the same time by USCIS as they were in your case does not necessarily mean the NVC received them at the same time. Either the NVC received both petitions at the same time and disregarded their own policy for some reason or the I-129F arrived at the NVC ahead of the I-130 which kept the I-129F active; I'm more inclined to believe the latter. Regardless of what happened, it's a moot point now as your case was one of those rare instances of a K3 making it through the NVC.

Regardless... Go for the CR-1. I-551 stamp and a green card within a month. Follow the NVC steps.

Wow! augfiler11's case is very interesting!

I am inclined to file to get a K-3 instead of a CR-1 right now. augfiler11, did you prefer K3? For what reason?
