Choice of Agent email ? and other NVC stuff ?

Hi ,

I called up NVC yesterday and got our case number. They told me they have mailed out a package to the petitioner however they didn't say anything about mailing anything to the beneficiary ?

Also the beneficiary (me) e-mailed them the choice of agent form after that call but didn't get any response ? Does it take few days ?

Can they also tell us the AOS invoice bill number in email so we can quickly pay it ?

Also coming to I-864 AOS. Wife and I are in process of getting a ITIN for me so we could file Married filing Jointly. Due to this wife thinks it would be ok to include previous years tax info with I-864 and latest W2's and a letter explaining why . Is this ok ?

Another thing How do i apply for PCC in India as Indians authorities ask for DS-230 cover sheet to issue one ? i guess ill wait till i get to that stage.... :-(

Did you get "Auto Response" email from NVC?? thats what you suppose to get first. And recently, it takes 1-2 weeks to "Accept" your DS-3032.

I guess you are talking about Invoice Identification Number (IIN). Yeah you get IIN from NVC that allows you/petitioner/ attorney/third-party into Immigrant Visa Invoice payment Center along with Case number. With all those information, every one can pay their respective bill when the bill is ready but it has to be via US bank. not even US issued Credit cards..

It should be okay to submit her W-2 along with 1040A for the recent year tax return if transcipt is not ready yet.

It takes about two weeks to receive the ds3032 or choice of agent acceptance mail. Now that you have your case number, check the website on a daily basis to see if your aos bill has been invoiced. If it has, then pay up and confirm payment before you mail out the aos package.

Was this the address you used? NVCINQUIRY@state.gov

Have you checked your spam folders?

Your wife can file as a single for this year taxes, and she can amend her return when you come to USA and have your SSN number available. IRS allows tax-payer to amend their return in 3 years after they were initially file, in the event if taxpayer find some changes in their already filed return. I have already filed my return for 2011 and will amend my return and add my spouse once entered into USA. I also received my 2011 IRS Transcript in last week.

I started a thread yesterday on VJ about PCC. You may defer your PCC until interview if your local PSK office is asking for an interview letter to issue the letter for you.

If you sent @ correct email address and did not get " Auto Response" even in Spam, Call NVC to find out what's going on?? I guess, I know the Prepared answer: There is nothing reported " OUR(NVC) system is working fine, you are supposed to get auto response"... :blush: :blush: :blush: Still nothing to loose to call... :thumbs: :thumbs: :thumbs:

Just for peace of mind : you can mail the paper DS-3032 form to NVC physical address with tracking number....If it is too expensive with tracking number for international shipping then do mail to your wife and then she will mail DS-3032 to NVC with tracking number

Better be SAFE than SORRY.... :blush: :blush: :blush:

called NVC yesterday morning, the guy told me not to worry if i didn't get a auto response.Finally today got a email from nvc stating that our choice of agent email was accepted. thank you all.
