My attorney that I met with before I sent in my paperwork said its all about the "intent". I think their systems do show the names of people involved with immigration. Because K1 is an immigration process. The intent is for marriage and eventually permanent residency/citizenship. So I guess if they can prove that they are going to be going back to their countries after visiting, then they may or may not let them in. For me as the USC it doesn't make a difference on my trips to Canada and back because they know I don't want to move to Canada based on my filing of the K1.

Hi, I'm a Canadianbeneficiary, and I have actually called the USCIS about 'visiting the USA during the process".

That was before I knew about VJ, and before we even started our paperwork.

Justlike 'CoConuts' said, "There are no rules against visiting. You can go toCanada, he can come to the United States".....

and that's exactly what the USCIS office told me. Search threads regarding the beneficiary visiting the USA.

Off-Topic2.gif In your original post you were talking about process times and planning a wedding for October.

As others have advised, and I agree that it's best to wait. You can have a BIG ceremony anytime!

Get your VISA, get married, and plan the 'BIG' day later. Why stress yourself out with all of this and planning a wedding.

I was trying to do that in the beginning, and decided to wait.

This whole process, is all about waiting. Patience will always brings peace.

Hope you find the answers you are looking for.

Best of luck, & Happy Journey
