How Obama reduces unemployment

Remember when there was the threat of shutting down the government over the 20 week extension of unemployment benefits that Obama insisted we need?

Yeah, that was last year. This year Obama needs votes and he knows he cannot get re-elected with unemployment at 8% + So he needs to reduce unempoyment.

No problem. S of May 12 the 20 week emergency extension that he was willing to shut down the government for just went away. Hundreds of thousainds of unemployed Americans will lose their benefits...YAY! Because as soon as their benefits end they are NO LONGER COUNTED AS UNEMPLOYED! Jobless claims go down and the number of people in the workforce are reduced further which makes the U-3 unemployment rate (the one they use) go DOWN. Obama throws hundreds of thousands of us under the bus so he can play with numbers...and some morons are going to think he is doing a good job!

Did you not hear about this? Why? The DOL is distributing information at the centers for filing claims that the benefit has ended. Where were Harry Reid ands Nancy Pelosi? Where were the impassioned teleprompter notes read by Obama? Why is the government not shut down????????

The workforce utilisation rate (U-6)is the lowest since the 1930's. IF the workforce utilisation rate was the same as when Obama took office, unemployment would be 11%

When people get hungry enough they will demand this problem be taken care of.Obama does nothing to solve this.The occupy movement must come to terms with the fact a 6 year degree in art history with a 150,000 dollar loan is worth nothing in todays job market. As a National Guard soldier who transfered his education benefits to his wife, my friend started receiving BAH for the past 20 months for his wife. Obama changed the GI Bill to include some more soldiers into the benefits and screwed a lot more of them by making it retroactive. Now my friend is supposed to be paying the 22k he received for his service. He is 22k in debt. Thanks to Obama (I know its off topic but some how relates).

That's probably the only thing he has done for Veterans - Screw them some more.

Before May you could claim for up to 98 weeks I think or 99? Something in that neighborhood. Basically the number will drop to 73 by the 4th quarter of this year, and then as things stand starting late december the system will reset to a max of 26 weeks.

I wonder why they are not threatening to shut dowmn the government over this? The unemployment rate will look better as soon as we lose all those weekly jobless claims. Eh? 200,000 will not be able to file next week that are STILL unemployed but they will "vanish" from the unemployment rolls and the administraion will claim new "jobs" for people that now have NOTHING.

I never understood how this gets debated even. Anyone that ever served in the military should have free medical for life, period. Anyone that actually faced a bullet for this country should have their income tax bill marked "PAID IN FULL" for life.

Lazy welfare bums are getting free medicaid and "earned income tax credits" and people that served honorably and risked their life get screwed????????? That ain't right.

Keeping it short, Obama floated a plan to have veterans pay for their service-related medical issues through their own private insurance companies as a way to generate $540 million for the VA in 2010. Veterans groups and even Democrats blooded his nose on the idea and he backed off.

You really have to have zero moral character and no sense of patriotism to ask those injured on and off the field of battle to pay for the medical issues related to those injuries.
