wow, congratulations! It's way difficult to be away from your beloved. I haven't met my fiance for 15 months as well, I know the pain. But I was worried about it if it could be problem during the interview!

Did the officer asked why you haven't seen each other for this long period???

By the way, so happy for you and wish you a fantastic life together!

Thanks for the well wishes -- to everyone!!!!

At the time of my fiance's interview, we had been apart for 8 months. We filed our petition only about 2 months after I left Syria, so there was not really a delay in the time between when we last saw each other and when we started the paperwork. They didn't ask any questions at the interview about why it had been so long -- probably because its common for that sort of thing to happen, or perhaps they were cognizant of the fact that there was a civil war starting in Syria and I had no way of going back there to see him. I think they tend to be pretty understanding of the fact that the process takes a long time and that for most people its just impossible to make frequent trips halfway across the world. Best of luck!
