I still think the comments were not warranted. Just my opinion.

What the hell does race have to do with this conversation. I am an african american and I got my job honestly because of my experience and my education. There is no need to be a racist here.

The govt is full of people who cannot be fired.

Add affirmative action, and that is why 1/3 of all black people in the US who have jobs work for some level of government, and it is almost impossible to fire them. Women are almost as hard to fire. The work environment is so stupid that few smart, independent people can stand it, and those that can, get pretty apathetic after seeing incompetent "official minorities" get promoted over them.

Yes, there are good people in govt, but it is NOT the norm.

Asians. The U. California system did a study. They were rejecting Asian students with higher SAT scores than the Highest SAT scoring blacks that they admitted. The charts are pathetic.

There are also plenty of minority folks who complain about A.A., because they actually believe in what MLK said "...man should be judged by the content of his character, not by the color of his skin". They know that giving incompetent blacks a leg up and free pass on responsibility makes people think all blacks are lazy and incompetent. A.A. sure makes it hard to tell the two groups apart from a distance.

SAT scores aren't the only thing that indicates a potentially successful student. Higher SAT scores don't equate to higher percentage of success in school. Diversity among the student body has advantages to the students as a whole, which is what Affirmative Action aims to do.
