O snaps I am sure there is actually the Ramadan police somewhere... Snaps that makes me think of all the weris stories i have heard on what breaks your fast... like smelling food, smelling prefumes, touching any person and hearing someone say something "bad".... Oooooooooookkkkkkk....

You know one thing I have noticed, especially here on VJ is that everyone expects Muslims to be extremely religious and follow every rule. Every religion has its nuts but I don't see why other Muslims have to answer to that. I mean when a Christian blows up an abortion clinic, no one comes and asks my why they did that.

Has anyone else here noticed this? This is not directed at you rclouse, but just a general observation I have made.

Since I asked the other day about premarital sex being wrong in Islam, I just wanted to add something. I know it's(premarital sex) wrong in Islam so I'd be a little surprised if those who are vocal about their beliefs, whether Christians or Islam, also talk about premarital sex, because it is contradictory to their beliefs. I know there are many Christians who not follow what the bible says, and there are many Muslims who do not follow the Quran/instructions of Islam. To me, it doesn't make it right. But it's more sad to me if it's someone who is always defending their religion or talking about it, and then to make a statement that goes against their own religion.

I won't hold people accountable who are more quiet about their beliefs since I don't really know then.

If I start posting weird sexual things and start cursing through every post, I think someone might notice because that's not how I usually am on here, and am very vocal about my beliefs. I'm sure someone who knows who I am on here pretty well would be shocked or confused. Not because I said I was a Christian, because many curse and say weird stuff who say they are Christians, but because I have been vocal about my beliefs many many times and have been in many religious debates.

I have noticed it but I attribute it to the fact that the several of the Muslims here are very vocal about their beliefs. I do think in some of the other forums, the more vocal Christians have been challenged about their faith.

I have gotten into plenty debates about my beliefs in Off topic. All I was saying when I had asked something in another thread, is that when someone is vocal about their beliefs, it's sad if they don't actually follow their beliefs(on purpose). Even if they are a different religion than me, it's disappointing to see when someone doesn't follow what they preach. Yet on VJ, those who are more vocal do seem to try to follow their beliefs as best as possible.

As a side note, I think it means nothing if someone labels themselves Muslim or Christian or whatever, yet does not try to follow their own beliefs. It becomes a tradition, a label, a meaningless thing. They might not eat pork and they pray occasionally, but they sleep around, curse all the time, and drink all the time, but since they don't eat pork and say "I'm Muslim" they think they don't need to stop the other stuff. Similar happens in Christianity, but like I said, it doesn't make it "ok".
