We just mailed our I-130, I-485 packages then I realized that our I-864ez form was not filled up in all caps as stated in the instruction. will this cause an rfe? Im so worried, has anyone did the same thing?

When we submitted the I-864EZ at NVC for our journey, we did not use all caps and we were fine. Don't worry, you won't get a RFE because of that.

Uh...all caps? I never saw that. I haven't mailed anything yet though, so I'm off to fix it. Is it just the I-864EZ that has to be in all caps or is that every form?

Personally every single form I've ever done is always in CAPS. That's just the way I was always told to complete forms.

There shouldn't be any problems at all. As long as the forms are legible, and complete. I know it says Capital letters, but I believe they understand on that one, that people make mistakes. I used a mixture of the smaller and capital letters on my I-864 and everything cleared without a problem.

Hope that helps! :star:

Did u file I-130 I-485 concurrently? Im wondering cuz you're not required to fill up I-864 yet

Her profile says CR-1/IR-1 so no she didn't file and i-485 and she isn't required to (and never will be required to)

Yes....but as far as I know the I-485 does not need to be filed with the I-130 petition.

The problem is you're writing in an Adjustment of Status (AOS) thread for people AOSing from visas that require an I-130 to be filed concurrently... so people were confused (which they wouldn't have been if they looked at your profile but oh well :P). In your case no, an I-485 is not required.
