Lena was approved yesterday at the Detroit USCIS. Interview lasted about 20 minutes. Overall, a nice experience. Typical questions asked of her. Big relief!

December 3, 2010 - Filed I-129F
December 16, 2010 - NOA-1 notification
December 30, 2010 - Second Visit to Kharkov

April 18, 2011 - Petition at NVC
April 25, 2011 - Medical Exam
April 26, 2011 - Received at Embassy

Great news! Now keep good records of stuff. Set up an "I-751" file and ake copies of evidence and put them in there so when the time comes you have everything ready for ROC. The hard part is now over. If you keep good evidence the ROC and citizenship are easy!

Thanks very much! Won't say everything has been rosey since her POE. Comes with the territory when suddenly my spouse left everything behind to join me and my two American born and bred boys (full custody) ages 17 and 20. Hey, at least they're both working but lazy by RUB standards. Each day is a new day. At least they both are taking there shoes off upon entering the house.

Congratulations. Isn't it amazing how easy the green card interview goes after all the frustration and delays of getting her here.

If you didn't have any problems in transition, I would say watch out. It is very natural and expected there will be problems. Most come from miscommunications or cultural differences. Just learn to roll with the flow and things will improve.
