Please dont post the same question across different forums. The Embassy Forum is the appropriate forum for this question which you have done and members will be forthcoming with some opinions/advice/experiences if you just be a little patient.

I suggest your cosposor go to the local IRS office and get transcripts of the missing tax return. Call the locak office, and make sure that if he shows up in person he can get the trascripts. Explain the urgency of the matter.

You can call and they will mail the transcripts. I did that and it only took about 5 days to get it. On the other hand can you mail it in time to your SO?

If it doesn't get there in time then you should still attend the interview. Its always possible that they won't even ask for it, but if they do they will give them the 221g letter requesting more information. It is better that way than to try to reschedule.

'Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO HOO, What a Ride'
