Hello all, I want to start this thread because my application was returned to me due to an incorrect address. I live in Ohio and sent the application to the Nebraska service center based on research here on VisaJourney and also other google searches. It seemed to be the proper address. I then left for Ecuador to spend 3 months with my fiance, thinking that we'd be 3 months further along in the process when I got back. When I got back 2 weeks ago I found the whole application had been returned to me saying that the proper address should have been the Laguna Niguel, California service center. But on the timeline on this very website it says to send the application to the Dallas address lockbox (http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1flow). On the USCIS official website it appears like there are a couple addresses that it could be sent to including the Dallas address (http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=1872aca797e63110VgnVCM1000004718190aRCRD&vgnextchannel=fe529c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD), .

What I'm worried about is that if this information is so screwed up and difficult to find and interpret correctly, what about all the other information? Why does VisaJourney put the Dallas address in their timeline when I have a letter from USCIS to send my application to the CA service center?

Also, now that 3 months have expired and my documents have a January date and signature, do I have to fill out all the forms again and have my fiancee send in forms again that have been more recently signed?

Thank you very much.

Only trust the USCIS I-129F form instructions.

"File Form I-129F at the USCIS Dallas Lockbox facility.

For U.S. Postal Service:

USCIS

P.O. Box 660151 Dallas, TX 75266

For Express mail and courier deliveries:

USCIS

Attn: I-129F

2501 South State Highway 121 Business Suite 400

Lewisville, TX 75067"

So the address is different depending on which service you want to send your package with.

And I would add, as you seem to have not read their instructions (http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-129finstr.pdf), read them and check that you have everything in your petition package. That will help prevent additional delays. :) Also check with the VJ checklist (http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide).

For your last question... I would re-do all the forms... January is quite old now.

Thanks. I talked to a USCIS official here in Cleveland yesterday and he told me to file it in TX and not CA because the officials in Nebraska don't know where it's supposed to go (that's very comforting!). I don't know how I got that Nebraska address because I was so meticulous about everything. I have read the instructions and the guide..about 20 times each at least.

The official told me that only the I-129F should be updated and that all the other documents and supporting evidence is fine as far as dates.

Thanks for your reply.

Andrew
