They forced her boyfriend to watch, and then repeatedly sodomized him and shot him several times before dumping his body.

3. March 4, 2012, two black youths in Kansas City, MO poured gasoline on a 13-year-old white classmate, lit him on fire and yelled “You get what you deserve, white boy!”?

4. March 14, 2012, 20-year-old Tyrone Woodfork (a black man) broke into the home of an elderly white couple, broke the jaw and ribs of ninety-year-old Bob Straight, then sexually assaulted his 85-year-old wife before ending their 65-year marriage by beating her to death

Do YOU care to explain why it is relevant to this case the fact that there have been crimes committed in different places at different times that involved black assailants and white victims?! Does this mean to you that whites should have the right to shoot blacks anytime they have a hunch that they might be a law-breaker? Do you understand what racism is? Do you think it is OK?!!

Because there's a long history of racial bigotry against Blacks in this country and it still exists today. Does racial bigotry go in all directions? Of course it does. This case and reaction by many had to do with the following:

• Zimmerman's 911 call: He described Martin as looking like he's up to no good. There wasn't anything in Martin's behavior that made him a suspect. But because he wore a hoodie and "appeared black" to Zimmerman, he was suspicious. Zimmerman also has a history of making calls to the local police over young black males looking suspicious.
• Zimmerman was let off by the police who believed his story - that he acted in self defense
• Martin was unarmed and just trying to walk home in the rain.
• Martin's gf was on the phone with him and corroborated that Zimmerman was following Martin, then when Martin tried to run away from him, was cornered.

There was not going to be any further investigation into this case until it drew enough media attention and public outrage.

You really don't get it. What is it that so blinds you to the issue in this case? It is not that a homicide occurred. It is that a man shot an unarmed teenager that represented no threat to him prior to the shooter initiating a confrontation, admitted killing him, AND WAS NOT ARRESTED!!!

There is no question that the black panthers are also racist! Their positions are despicable. But I find little to identify with them. As stated before this GARBAGE got suspended several times within the same school year for the SAME issues. He was a thug, a punk, and deserved what he got. After all, it's now shown his violent temper caused him to attack a neighborhood watchman. Who knows. If this was a cop, he might have actually tried to do more.

• Martin's gf was on the phone with him and corroborated that Zimmerman was following Martin, then when Martin tried to run away from him, was cornered.

where is the un-escapable "corner"?

you know a corner ... the area enclosed or bounded by an angle formed in this manner ... a threatening or embarrassing position from which escape is difficult

are you implying Z had some magical power to be on both sides of T at the same time which eliminated all routes of escape (assuming the buildings form two walls of a box)?

maybe pinned T up against a wall ... oh wait ... the confrontation happened in the middle space or sidewalk

the map appears to indicate T had an escape route (in a direction away from Z) so "cornered" is an emotional expression ... not a physical corner

arm-chair jurors of all types expounding Z guilty and T as an absolute angel

at this point in time in regards to media publications for this case, the media can from today forward publish 100% facts without so much as a shred of bias or slant and they will still not be able to redeem themselves as remotely trustworthy.

what happened to good old fashioned honesty in reporting and discussion.

simply put ... there was an unfortunate altercation that needed to be brought to light.. we don't know how it went down and by george we are gonna get to the bottom of this by using the judicial system.

M did have a legal right to return to his domicile. did he have an avenue of exit? the map indicates a possibility. I don't know and can't state for fact because i wasn't there.

stand your ground can be a good concept when tempered with maturity and situational awareness. there are times it's easiest (and best) to simply leave and fight another day instead of pushing a bad or unknown situation. i do wonder if T had the opportunity to simply leave the confrontation.

meanwhile ... the wheels of the judicial system are churning and i will wait to see what transpires.
