Got our package on the 29th of March but can't get a medical until the 19th of May!!! :-( I'm going to keep calling to see if we can get an earlier date (or just in case someone cancels) however I was wondering.... Are we allowed to sched medical appointments at one of the other locations / in one of the other states? Has anyone ever done this or heard of it being done?

Yeah I got that, thanks guys :-) I was just wondering if it matters who on the list he goes to. I know the interview has to be in Sydney which is fine as he lives there but if we could get a medical done from the list in another location, it could possibly speed things up (hopefully). He's going to visit family/friends before he immigrates so might be in the area.

No, it doesn't matter. I lived in South Australia and when i wanted to get my medical done there was no doctors in SA to do it ( i don't know if they have since gotten a new one). I think the guy retired like a couple of months before i had my medical, lol. I went to Melbourne and saw Dr> Okraglik..or whatever his name is....he was excellent, highly recommend him! I booked my medical a bit over a month in advance so i could get the time off work etc but when i rang to make the appointment it didn't sound like he had long wait times.

Finally time for AOS.......

12/07/11 Sent AOS package

12/09/11 AOS package delivered

12/14/11 Received NOA for I-485 and I-765 (we're not applying for AP)

12/22/11 Received letter for Biometrics

01/04/12 Biometrics in Phoenix

01/31/12 Received email update from USCIS saying that we've been scheduled for an interview

02/03/12 Got an email saying card production had been ordered for my EAD...now just to wait for the card...

02/09/12 Received email saying EAD card has been sent

02/13/12 Received EAD card :D :D :D :D

03/06/12 Interview in Phoenix :).....Approved :D

03/14/12 Received Green card in mail.....

....no more USCIS until December 2013

I think he called him but decided to go with the one in Brissy. Got an appointment for the 1st! Wish we'd thought about it a week ago but I'm satisfied with that date. Having to wait until the 16th was too stressful. Whoo one step closer!
