I'm not sure when the NVC received our case but I e-mailed an inquiry to them on Friday the 6th. I received the reply yesterday with the NVC number and a message saying that the case had "recently" been forwarded to the Embassy in Kiev. Our NOA2 date was 9/19/2006.

A nice gift before the weekend!

I called NVC last night and was told that my petition had been forwarded to the Embassy in Lagos last week. I forgot to get case # so I called back to the automated voice response thinking I would get it and there was no record of my case number. I have sent two email's one on 10/10 and the other one on 10/12 and have yet to get a response. I am expecting either the email or a letter by snail mail. I will just keep hope alive that what I was told last night was really true!!!!!!! By the way my NOA2 date was on 9/15/06. :D

Congrats.. So my theory seems to be correct that the CSC has surely sent alot of approved cases to the NVC this Tuesday. I am glad to see another person with a date before 9-18-06 getting good news and an NVC number.. (I'm surely feeling much better today).

This now means that there are only three people left for 9-15-06 awaiting a NVC number, and for 9-14-06 there only two people left who are awaiting NVC numbers. :)

:dance::dance: I just updated my time line because I came home and had a reply from one the emails I sent to NVC, was assigned case number. Then went to DHL website to try to track to see if it had been sent and rcvd at embassy. I was able to see when I put in the dates 10/2-10/06/06 that they had a lot of shipments sent to the different Embassies at least 25 pages. I am sure since I am just finding out that those that have been assigned case #'s their cases have already been sent to the Embassy. That's good news for those waiting

The problem is you have no idea whether it's actually been sent or it's just sitting somewhere at NVC awaiting shipment. Similar to CSC claiming that your NOA2 was approved 9/15/06 (an example date) and NVC not receiving actual shipment until 10/10, there is no way for you to confirm the actual ship date from NVC to your consulate. It might actually get shipped out a week from today or two weeks from today.

What would be accurate is if they gave us the actual waybill or tracking #, but they don't. So we are left guessing which package our petition is in, and that's certainly not very accurate.

08/13/09 - Sent I-751 to CSC

I agree DHL tracking is not a reliable method. You should email the consulate and enquire if your case has arrived there. I emailed the US embassy last night and a got a reply this morning.

The above is very true as today I finally got connected to the CSC, and to an agent who finally gave me a direct answer on where my approved case is. While the answer was not good because my case is sitting at the CSC shipping department in the hands of clowns!! I was finally able to end the running around.
