Hi, I just signed up today for this site. I was going to wait until I was officially engaged to join, but thought I would go ahead and start early because I had some questions. My girlfriend is from Colombia, and we met each other in March when I went there to visit. We actually met online last September in 2011, and at first it was just an online friendship. But we grew very close to each other in that time and we started dating in February. One month later exactly is when we met each other for the first time in Bogota. I plan to propose to her when I return in May. If she says yes, which I am sure she will, we will start to file the paperwork necessary for her visa (k-1). I'm excited for the process and to bring her here with me.

Welcome, sir! smile.gif

Read the K1 guides ans FAQ and you'll do just fine!

Oh and yes I also agree with Feli114. Keep all proof of relationship you have.

Plane tickets, receipts from Colombia, pictures with her and family in a bunch of different friends and places.

It will be very important in the future.

Good luck!

Anthony & Paula
