We had our interview on Monday and passed with flying colors. Just wondering what it is we are looking for in the mail. Will it be clearly marked not to open...is it a packet or just a letter? The reason I ask, is that today she recieved a letter from the embassy addressed to her from there but nothing on the outside of the envelope telling her not to open. Is is ok to 'm thinking its finally the letter saying they recieved the petition and we can schedule and interview...ha ha

When the passport/immigration packet is delivered to your fiance by 2GO, it will be clearly marked not to open.

well, there's a letter, and then there's a PACKET.

a #10 sized envelope? probably not the visa packet... safe to open.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

The envelope that you present at the POE is has pretty clear instructions on it and is a thick envelope. You won't miss it when it arrives.

The letter you have in your hand is probably the letter telling you that you are eligible to schedule an interview. Open it.

It's not your visa packet. Your visa packet will be a plastic bag. Inside the plastic beg will be a Manila-colored envelope marked "do not open." The manila-colored envelope will have one corner cut away. Your passport will be in the plastic bag too. You can open the plastic bag and remove your passport, but don't open the envelope.
