WASHINGTON (AP) — Sen. John McCain says Rick Santorum should recognize “it’s time for a graceful exit” from the Republican presidential campaign in the wake of Mitt Romney’s sweep of primaries in Wisconsin, Maryland and the District of Columbia.

McCain also tells “CBS This Morning” there’s a strong field of Republicans who could be the vice presidential candidate.

When asked to suggest some names Wednesday, the Arizona Republican said, “I think it should be Sarah Palin.”

But of course. Defining your brand even more narrowly than it already is... is quite the winning strategy. You should do it more.

He went from being a self-professed progressive in a progressive northeastern state to being the republican primary winner two years after the tea party rocked the gop's world.

That's fukcing brilliant.

I thought it was more he was building on the last run and had a ####### load of money to buy the best. Also the field he was running against all imploded. I will say that his missteps were minor.
