Hello Visa Journey Members...

I am a US citizen who married a Korean national last January while visiting my parents in the US. We filed our I-130 on March 5, 2012, and we were told that it should take about a month to be contacted for an interview.

Out of curiosity, I emailed the CIS office in Seoul to ask for a status update on 3/22/12 and the response I got was to contact www.ustraveldocs.com/kr for more information. To say the least, I have not received any information from either CIS or ustraveldocs.com/kr.

Of everyone who has filed their I-130 by DCF in Seoul, how long did it take to receive packet #3?

Was there anything that needed to be done after submitting your I-130?

What is the ustraveldocs.com/kr website for?

Thank you very much for any information in advance. I truly need some guidance and appreciate any assistance the community can provide^^

It took me a month. From the day I filed the I-130 to the day it was approved it took like exactly 30 days.

When it's approved they will send you an email with your SEO case number. I'm not sure about the process now because setting up visa appointments has changed since March 9th. I know you will have to send the DS-230 part or fax it to the Seoul IV unit. Make sure you have another copy of DS-230 because you will need it for the interview.

We filed our I-130 on April 2nd at the US embassy in Seoul. Yesterday(April 19th), we received packet number 3 with a priority date as well as the case number, :-)

Does that mean our petition were approved and we can start preparing and finish the paperwork and schedule an interview? We didn't receive an approval letter, but we received a case number, and packet 3.

Does that mean that we are good to prepare for the interview?
