Has anyone had had to file I-824 for action on approved application? I recieved a letter from USCIS stating my case status is OUTSIDE PROCESSING TIME and they want me to file an I-824. Why do I have to send ANOTHER 200 dollars after 4 months of waiting to get the USCIS to send my APPROVED petition to the NVC??????????

From the instructions on I-824 it indicates it is used for approved cases.

Can you fill us all in on the whole story? I don't have the big picture here.

Can you update your profile to show us what visa you filed for?, Service center, timeline to show us where you stalled in the process, country beneficiary is from.

It sure sounds like you are getting the run around by USCIS.

One VJ-er did something to jump start a case that had stalled, I am not sure what but here is his thread: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...c=35883&hl=

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

Update!!!

USCIS after prodding from congressman, finds elusive petition and forwards to NVC. NVC will forward the petiton to the consulate in Jakarta within the week. This has been such a relief. When I recieved the envelope I was almost too scared to open  I totally understand how others here that have been waiting for what feels like an eternity. I would say be patient but that is easy to say when your life has not been put on hold and I felt like giving up and almost did. :(
