Hi guys,

The devil is in the details -- I've received my Permanent Resident Status last December and my wife (who is a US citizen) and I are relocating from Connecticut to Washington State. My wife still has work until mid-summer and I quit my job and moved to Washington to start looking for work. I've updated my address with USCIS. Now, I'm currently staying with family until my wife moves here, as well, and we both can look for a more permanent places to stay. If I change my residency to from CT to WA I have to change my driver's license, which would have my current (temporary) address on it -- is it worth the fee and trouble to go through this now, if we are going to change it again in probably 4 months, or can I wait until we are properly situated and change it then?

So the question is: Does the USCIS care?

USCIS doesn't care about state residency. They only care that you update your current address with them when you move.
