Speaking of nuts, my brother's FB got hacked by someone who planted a photo of a naked dude sitting in a chair jerking off. When my bro found out, he was so traumatized that he left his job to go home immediately to see if he could delete that thing. I mean, he's got young nieces and nephews, and sisters-in-law that can see his page. At first before I knew it was a hack, I asked my bro, what's wrong with you ya big pervert!

Who's nuts you want to embrace?!?!?!

sorry for you brother. I can't imagine how he felt. So, was your brother able to delete his account? Even is there anyway to do?

He was able to delete the image, though it was duplicated in two or three places on his page. He still has the FB account but rarely uses it. He thinks about getting rid of it. I looked up once how to get rid of it but I forgot. I think when you cancel it, it remains in existance for a period of time. If you go and use it again, it reactivates and you have to start the deletion process all over again.

I use it to chat and share photos with my fiancee and her friends overseas is all. I figure that once my fiancee is here, I will delete mine if I can figure out how.

I might join. Who's with me?

I'm already on FB. I personally enjoy it.. except for the other idiots on there (note I said "other" idiots :P). It's a good way for me to stay in contact with friends and family back home. I upload vids and photos of my life here. I upload photos of my children (dogs) so my mum feels more involved.

You do of course get the attention seekers, and the "link posters" but you can easily block them from being listed on your "wall" so it's no biggie. Usually it's pretty good. I've only had a couple of dramas but that involved my in-laws and their poor online etiquette (poor etiquette in general honestly :S) as well as their need for drama. I posted a note that compared US and Aussie words (and some food) and my in-laws took that as an affront to US life and well.. it got a little ridiculous really because none of my friends and family could understand why they were upset at my truly innocuous posting (stuff like they have wedges at KFC here and we have fries at home... stuff like that).
