CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! That is awesome news. :luv:

Thanks Krikit!! :star:

I love ketchup on my Mac&Cheese... and on eggs too. My husband finds both really strange.

I wonder, is mayo on fries a Canadian thing? My dad loves it, but it seems gross. Nobody I know here does that!

i always used mayo on my fries..sometimes on my eggs..then again i grew up with fish and chips and a mayo tarter sauce..so maybe thats why i do it. or its a french thing like Krikit says..since i grew up in Montreal.

Funny thing is..husband hates ketchup but he likes mayo on fries now! lol.

I LOVE mayo on my fries! Mayo mixed with ketchup is pretty good! I also dipped fries in tartar sauce.

I have never tried mayo with fries, oops, I just remembered that on occasion I have dipped them in ranch dressing but that is very rare, i prefer ketchup with my fries...

I had these two friends in high school who always ordered the french fries and gravy from the school cafeteria. They then would take 6 or 7 packets of vinegar and dump it in the gravy

Yummy!! Glad im not the only 1,lol

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

I always thought he vinegar, gravy, fries combo was weird... but I love fries and gravy. Nobody puts gravy on their fries here, its like a foreign concept. When I explain what poutine is, people always say it sounds gross. What about it sounds gross?!

Oh Kraft M&C is just perfectly fine here. I love making mine with chopped up raw Habanero peppers in it. Actually thinking of that, maybe that's what I'll have for dinner tonight. And I can't remember what we used as kids, but maybe we did use forks up in Canada, I have always used a spoon here because you can get all the cheese better.

Now one thing I've noticed is that people always have weird things they add to their Mac and Cheese. I knew a lot of people up in Canada that would put ketchup with theirs. GROSS!!!!. I knew another guy that would mix it with sauerkraut (which doesn't sound all the bad actually). Others used bacon bits and so on and I just use my Habeneros.

And are they insane for charging $15 shipping for a box of Canada version Mac and Cheese off that Canadian Favorites site? I was tempted to see if there really was a difference between the two, eventhough they rip you off with $2.98 a box (compared to $1) here, they have to add a overpriced shipping charge on top of it? Looks like my taste test won't be happening. But I am curious as I don't recall how Canada's version tasted as it's been too long...

how about those that cut up hot dogs to their M & C? too funny....

Honey Bunches of Oats looks similar! I'm not a fan of either, so I can't say taste wise...
