I have seen a lot of you here that are routed to VERMONT have been approved in less time. Is there a way that I can ask them to transfer my case at VErmont in a way that would expedite my petition and not hurt it?

Also, I wonder if there is anything that I can do to help them expedite my case? what has contributed to the faster approval? personal experiences are welcomed. please say some prayers for me.

I was wondering the same thing since CSC is processing I-130 cases slower. I called to find out if this was possible.

They suggested two option.

1) In case of an emergency.

There is 10 reasons that your file may be expedited. When you call the 800 number provided on your NOA-1, they inform you what these 10 reasons are.

Obviously you would have to prove it. (If it is not one of these 10 reasons, I would not suggest to try it since it is a very serious matter.)

2) Just request the service center you would like to be transferred to.

You would have to write a letter (as suggested by the agent on the phone) to the chosen service center. It is up to them if they would transfer your case.

There are risks with this option. The agent on the phone did not know how long it would take to transfer a case. (Possibility - may take longer than if you stay with your current service center)

If your case IS transferred, I do not know if they put your case at the "bottom of the pile" or consider the date on your NOA-1.

I have been searching for any cases that have requested transfer and have been successful at it but I have had no luck yet.

Hey thanks for that Information. I have never called USCIS regarding this, But thank you for that information!

I would further advise anyone reading this thread to take the above mentioned information with a grain of sand, lest they unnecessarily shoot themselves in the foot and delay their case further, possibly even more than how long it would take originally.

The USCIS and NVC representatives are very uninformative. Sometimes they have correct information, sometimes they don't. You call, they say one thing, you call back immediately and talk to another person, he tells you something completely the opposite.

I have had first hand experience in this matter, so once again, I advise you never to take the word of USCIS/NVC customer service as gospel.
