Husband growning impatient with the process

My husband and I have been apart for 7 months, I-130 received Sept 14, still no NOA2 and my husband is growing very impatient. We have our lives on hold until we proceed with this process...there are days I'm not sure we are going to make it thru this ordeal, especially with USCIS being so far behind. Anyone out there dealing with the same situation?

I have been away from my fiance since July 2011, it is the worst feeling in the world, and I feel your pain:( We today finally recieved an approval. The only thing all of us can do is be patient. And also call USCIS, and your lawyer if you have one. Try to collect as much info as you can for yourself. And keep record of what they tell you.

Everybody here is, will be or has been in the same situation. You wait and you prepare well for the next step. First thing to understand is that there will not be any K3 visa in your future, so start studying the CR1 visa process. That's the visa that will actually be issued. You can start on the next forms now.

Every one of us is dealing with something similar. It's been 7.5 months since I've seen my husband. We got our NOA2 after 187 days, so you're not so badly off yourself.

Thank you all for your words of encouragement. I understand all of us on here are waiting out this long, dreaded process but after 7 months of being apart from my husband I'm worried the love we have for eachother might not be enough. We're trying to remain positive but becoming weaker every day.......having a down moment. :(

This part of your journey is in the final stretch and the prize is within sight. The time from the start of this process to 'visa in hand' will test a couple's love, stress some relationships to perilous degrees and solidify others as hard as a precious diamond. Survive this separation and a long happy marriage, "till death do us part" will be the real challenge.

Hang in there OP and tell your husband to steady-the-course.

I'm sure both of you knew what you were getting into before you ventured into it. Not to be judgmental, but if the love you have for each other isn't enough, what is? I agree this entire waiting game is so frustrating. My way of coping with it is telling myself every single day that I'm still in a long-distance relationship and that I'd be meeting him soon. I imagine how our meeting's gonna be when I step out of that aircraft and after all the immigration formalities, see him at the airport and run into his welcoming arms.

There are so many people who have to go through a mandatory administrative processing despite having been approved, which puts them behind even further. If it wasn't for the love they have for each other, no one would even think of marrying outside your country!

Yes Christina, I know very well what you are going through. I have been separated from my hubby for six months now, please continue to encourage him as best you can because this has been indeed a tedious journey but well worth it. Once the visa is in his hand then it will be a much smoother process. I get discouraged often and so does my husband, but we realize that it's too much work to give up on and we love each other too much and someday we'll be together and that is the fuel that keeps us going. Christina, it's very time consuming I know and it seems that if we're already married then it should be priority but it seems as though our waiting is as long or longer than others but we will make it through. Just think of it this way, you guys are not waiting alone and there are plenty of married couples separated and patiently waiting too. We will make it Christina and we have to rely on motivation from others at times. It helps me knowing I am not alone on this journey.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!! My fiancee and I met Dec 15 2009 and because he s american and im canadian we to have been seperated alot since we met and we are again.I had to come back to Canada in Dec 2011 and Im not allowed to go back untill April..I was told by our immigration lawyer I have to wait for 90 days because of that..and we are both having a very hard time as well because we love each other and we just wanna be together...Our lawyer had suggested that as soon as Im back we get married then he will file for a K-3 visa and thats exactly what were doing ..we set the date for the 2nd of June 2012...I just hope that my going through customs goes smoothly this is why our lawyer said I had to wait for 90 days just to make sure....God I cant wait to get back and marry him UGH!!!!!
