VISA APPROVED!

Woo Hooo!

Got a I-797 Notice of Action today in the mail.

First line reads: "The above petition has been approved." We have sent the original visa petition to the Department of State National Visa Center (NVC), 32 Rochester Avenue, Portsmouth, NH." It has a notice date of: February 24, 2012.

And it says: "NOTICE TYPE: Approval Notice, Section: Husband or Wife of U.S. Citizen 201(b)."

I checked my case number on USCIS.gov and nothing has changed...

So, does this mean they haven't updated their website yet?

Has my Visa APP been approved?

I'm about this close to flipping out and running around the neighborhood!

How is your visa approved if you haven't even gone to your interview or done any of the other process before a visa is issued?

I think you are confused .... only your petition is approved. Not a visa.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

I am a Citizen of the United States of America. 04/16/13

Yes, that's what I meant. =)

Got so excited that the actual petition got approved that I forgot to include that in the title. =)

Gotta read up on the next steps now - want to streamline this as much as possible!
