Question about Canadian visiting US from Canada

Yes as of right now the only country in the world that considers DUI's as a felony and will deny another countries citizen from entering is Canada. The rest of the world do not consider DUI's as a felony and so that doesn't come into play when entering. Canada will deny anyone with a DUI if not a Canadian citizen. Getting a waiver to enter Canada can be expensive and time consuming as well if one had a DUI.

So those that hold Canadian citizenship, will not have to ever worry about it, anywhere...

I had a friend visit from Manitoba that had a DUI the previous summer! Not even a year had past! He got in fine.

I found out my cousin's husband was a felon while on a business trip! I had to make a delivery in Toronto from Knoxville. I told him I'd pay him X amount and pay for his meals/lodging if he'd go with me, so I could get it done faster.

When we got to the border they wouldn't let him in. He had 2 felony convictions in 1998. (this was before the passport rule) I had to drop him off at a burger king in Buffalo and go make my delivery, then come back and pick him up. I was not happy with him.
