ok I-864 question.... i have been going over my income with tips and incentive (i work at great clips) and i can also use my assets? (i have a car that i own, which i can use) how would they caculate all my incentive and my tips, and what value do they go off of when dealin with a auto asset? the private or trade in? becuz ME alone, with EVERTHING will make over 24,000 this yr. if i include my asset.... ive been thinkin reallllly hard alllll day long!!! if u know plz let me know :)

You will see that for 2012 the numbers have changed. If it will just be your wife and yourself it will be approximately $18,912.50 based on 125% of the $15,130 for 2 people in the household. This is considering you are in the 48 contiguous states and DC. Hope this helps. when did they change it? well it will b me and my husband and 2 children. so 4... but its still only a lil over 23,000. but how do they count assets etc and how do they add up incentives from my job because everything is taken out of my check.

Use your gross pay before anything is taken out. If you just have the one car, forget it. They'll only count a car if you have another one. Also, it takes $3 in liquid assets to make up for each $1 in income shortfall. Read the I-864 instructions regarding using assets.
