With lots of time on my hand, I'm just wondering what is the average wait time from the time of response to RFE to a decision. I'm hoping not too long. But since I received RFE shortly after filing, should I be looking forward to the 5-6 months wait time?

I heard within a week after replying to the RFE on our K1. But I've heard of others that have waited months to hear after responding the the RFE. Doesn't seem to be any way to know for sure when they're getting back to your petition.

What was your RFE for?

RFE was for original letter of intent to marry(sent in original filing), proof of last meeting in person(boarding passes, passport stamps: sent the first time), a question missed on I-129F re: criminal convictions, and fiance's passport(all pages). Sent everything last week: boarding passes, passport with stamps(in color, blown up, and highlighted), e-ticket receipts, credit card/bank statements, 2 more letters of intents, his passport with all pages, answered question, and a couple more pics(not film-dated).

If you don't mind me asking what was your RFE for?

An RFE (Request for Evidence) can be almost anything USCIS asks for in addition to the Petition to Approve to the next step in the Process.

Hopefully, they are Simple. A missing Document or Incorrect Data. Generally, these take only a week or 2 to define and a Noa2 granted shortly.

Other circumstances which are serious are Not telling the Truth on the Original Petition and will lead to huge delays or denial of the Petition.

I had 2 RFE's and both were cleared in 2 weeks as you can see on my timeline.

Hopefully, the matters are simple and just need clarification.
