You know what I am about to finish 11 months and got nothing other than 1 reply letter when we submit I-130 .... It's Vermont center and I don't what to do now .Any suggestion would be appreciable.PD- 05- may 2011

You're filing for an F2A visa correct? While there is an unlimited number of K-1 and IR-1/CR-1 visas available each year, unfortunately, there's an annual cap on F2A visas so they often take much much longer. If you filed for your spouse or minor child, you can "upgrade" when you get US citizenship, if you're eligible soon. It'll then go a lot faster.

i must say vermont service center is doing a tremendous job the noa2 are coming on fast and i like the order in which they are going i am not pointing any fingers but if you take a look at the percentage graphs and see how petitions are being approved at both service centers california is all over the place and vermont is coming down the line that may have something to do with the fast pace of approvals i am loving it and hope my petition can get approve fast love what they are doing i am impressed :thumbs::dancing:

what graph are you looking at? i don't see any recent graph from the uscis website.

I know this post is a few months old, but I still have to say I couldn't disagree more. The VSC is terrible. The process for IR1/CR1 is way too long! I'm at 170 days since NOA1 (12/5/2011), and the VSC just responded it may be another 60 days. I can't speak for the CSC, but the VSC is complete with sloth and incompetence. They have the highest rate of lost petitions among the service centers (39%) due to their large telework employees. (32% work from somewhere other than the office).

There is no good reason that the majority of cases shouldn't be completed, within 4 months! (That is green card in hand, not just approved). And I am sick and tired of getting these nasty, snippy CSRs from the USCIS when I call to ask questions. Out of 4 calls, I had 1 that was friendly. Each time I have to bite my tongue and "play nice" because I don't want them red flagging me and delaying me even more just to be pr*cks.

<sigh> <deep breath>

i must say vermont service center is doing a tremendous job the noa2 are coming on fast and i like the order in which they are going i am not pointing any fingers but if you take a look at the percentage graphs and see how petitions are being approved at both service centers california is all over the place and vermont is coming down the line that may have something to do with the fast pace of approvals i am loving it and hope my petition can get approve fast love what they are doing i am impressed :thumbs::dancing:

Just wait until you have to file an RoC for the 10 year greencard at VSC. They are actually, rather, TREMENDOUSLY SLOW, TYVM!

June 26, 2012 - The Hubbs received his 10-year Permanent Residency Card (aka THE Greencard) in the mail today!




At long last, this highly stressful leg of our journey has come to a close - for now - and we couldn't be more grateful and appreciative for all the tremendous help and support here on VJ! Without VisaJourney I doubt we would be where my husband and I are today! Thanks to all!

01/26/12 - NOA1 received and processing at Vermont.

06/28/12 - NOA2 announced on status check.

06/29/12 - NVC received case learned on 07/2/12.

06/30/12 - Hard copy NOA2 received.

07/09/12 - NVC Casefile Number and IIN Issued.

07/16/12 - Receive and Sent DS-3032 via email.

07/17/12 - Mailed DS-3032 via mail, AOS bill received via email, paid online, Optin email sent.

07/18/12 - Optin accepted and new case number, AOS marked paid, emailed AOS packet.

07/24/12 - Assigned as Agent, IV Fee bill received via email, paid online.

07/25/12 - IV Fee marked paid, emailed IV packet.

07/31/12 - Emailed GZO Supplemental Packet 3.

08/02/12 - Case completed and commenced final review.
