somehow I don't see that kid who did the Canadian shooting curling up with the latest Harry Potter :huh:

LOL! There is some religious groups (that I will not mention but they will come knocking at your door on Saturdays) believe that Harry Potter is evil and prohibit thier members from allowing their children to read or watch the movies.

A woman who maintains that the Harry Potter books are an attempt to teach children witchcraft is pushing for the second time to have them banned from school libraries.

Laura Mallory, a mother of four from the Atlanta suburb of Loganville, told a Georgia Board of Education officer that the books by British author J.K. Rowling, sought to indoctrinate children as Wiccans, or practitioners of religious witchcraft.

Referring to the recent rash of deadly assaults at schools, Mallory said books that promote evil - as she claims the Potter ones do - help foster the kind of culture where school shootings happen.

That would not happen if students instead read the Bible, Mallory said.

This American read all the Mallory Towers, Secret Seven, St. Clare's and Naughtiest Girl in the School books.

It made me prone to having midnight feasts with lashings of ginger beer and sending people to coventry.

Don't forget the Famous Five series and for the younger readers ... the Faraway Tree series. Great memories there!

PRESENT - IR-5 Story (reuniting a family)
I-130 for Parents - 2013
Aug ?? - mailed I-130 packages for both mother and father
Sept 10 - NOA1 date
Sept 16 - NOA1s received

2014

Feb 25 - got emails saying that the cases had been transferred to another office for processing

Feb 26 - got emails saying that the cases have been transferred to my local office for processing

Feb 28 - got emails saying that the cases have been transferred and are being processed

Mar 17 - got email, attached to one case number only, saying that my A number was changed relating to the I-130 filing

Mar 18 - got emails saying that the petitions are approved smile.png
