Yea!!! Luisa had her interview today and everything went well, she will go back tomorrow to pick up the actual paperwork.

The interview process went really smoothly, she arrived at the embassy around 6:00 AM and by 6:30 they started to let people inside. The actual interview took about 10 minutes and the guy asked a few questions about my family, about her english and nothing more. They did not ask to see the mountain of paperowrk we compiled has proof of relationship, infact he did not ask to see any of the paperwork she brought.

I will post more info about what to expect once Luisa gets here, since she will nknow better than I what exactly happened and how long it took.

Now all that I need to do is purchase my plane tickets to see her, and return to the US with her hand in mine!! :dance:

9/18/06 Medical Exams

10/3/06 Interview Date!!!

10/4/06 Have Visa in Hand!!

10/16/06 Return to EEUU

01/06/07 Married..... Now trying to complete the EOS stuff!!!

07/02/07 Green Card Interview, we were approved!! Now we wait for the actual card!!

07/18/07 Recieved Green Card in the mail!! Yippeee!!!

June 2007 - our "big day"

November 2007 - 2-yr GC received

December 2009 - 10-yr GC received

Citizenship by next year!!!!

Congratulations, The Colombian connection strikes again. Many well wishes for the both of you.

We hope to be in your shoes real soon. Called the embassy today on the pay per converse line and the woman who answered started off by giving the wrong information. When I told her it has been a month already since the embassy received the information she had to get of f the line and speak with someone when she returned she told me that it could take up to six months for the packet 3 to arrive. I told her that we though the packet was lost in the mail and when I told her that our petition would expire in December she again put me on hold to get more information from someone she then said we could pick up the packet 3 at the embassy with an appointment. This we decided on, so it is off to Bogota to pick up the packet 3, fill it out and return it immediately for processing so we can possibly receive packet 4 faster. Just in case packet 4 is lost in the mail we will be checking for our number on the embassy website for the November interviews.

Your fiancee's experience seems to be exactly what ours was. EASY! Stay in touch once you guys are back. Belkis would love to chat it up with some other Colombianas in her situation.
