Hello to all,

my fiance is having problems filling the I-129F form.

On the question number 10 they are asking the place of issue of the birth certificate, she does not have an idea what is that.

Could you help me please,

Thanks,

Martin

Martin,

In what City, Town or Village was your Fiance born? Is she certain that a BC was applied for and received by her parents? It is not too late to get one, in most cases. Please clarify.

Martin,

A birth certificate will indicate on it, in some way, that place where it was issued, since to be acceptable it must be a birth certificate issued (and certified) by a governmental agency.

The governmental office that issued your wife's birth certificate is located somewhere, name the place.

William,

The town of birth is not necessarily the place where the birth certificate was issued, in some places the governmental agency that is the keeper of records is at a higher level.
