What does this mean??

I filed the new form what the heck!

Application Type: I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

Current Status:

On October 3, 2006, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case. The notice explains in detail what additional material is needed. If you have questions about the notice, what is required, or if 30 days have passed and you have not received the notice. Please contact the service center where you submitted your application during business hours.

07/28/2006 -- Mailed I129f Petition

07/31/2006 -- NOA 1 Received Date

08/12/2006 -- NOA 1 Notice Date

08/17/2006 -- Touched

09/21/2006 -- Touched

10/02/2006 -- Touched

10/03/2006 -- RFE sent from CSC (Beneficiary's birth certificate)

10/04/2006 -- Touched

10/09/2006 -- Received RFE in the mail

10/10/2006 -- Sent reponse to RFE

10/16/2006 -- RFE acknowledged at CSC

10/18/2006 -- NOA2 - APPROVED!!

10/19/2006 -- Touched

10/25/2006 -- Received NOA2 snail mail

10/26/2006 -- Petition received at NVC

11/06/2006 -- Petition sent off to embassy

11/17/2006 -- Embassy receives petition

11/17/2006 -- Packet 3 sent from Embassy

12/11/2006 -- INTERVIEW

12/13/2006 -- Embassy calls asking for document stating that fiance is not married. (Second curve ball they throw at us)

12/26/2006 -- K-1 Visa issued!!!!

An RFE is not necessarily IMBRA related, it could be for a myriad of other reasons. Please check the pinned thread at the top of this section for examples.

2005

Sept 10 I-129F sent to TSC

2006

Interview - February 13th APPROVED! day 152

April 6 - wedding date day 204

Aug 22 - AOS interview date day 101-total days 342

Sept 29 - green card arrives, done until June 2008 day 140-total days 381

2008

June 30 - I-751 mailed total days 1025

2009

March 9 - Removal of Conditions approved! total days 1277

We also filed using the new form and still received the IMBRA RFE. But your RFE may not be IMBRA related.

07/26/06- NOA1

07/07/06- IMBRA RFE sent from VSC

07/20/06- IMBRA RFE received at VSC

09/29/06- NOA2

10/17/06- received Packet 3 from London Embassy

10/25/06- Medical

10/27/06- Sent Packet 3

12/13/06- received Packet 4 from London Embassy Interview scheduled for 19th Jan 2007

12/14/06- Emailed embassy to Reschedule interview

01/08/06- received Packet 4 new interview date 26th Feb 2007

It means they want additional information from you. About what? They could want evidence of meeting in person in the past 2 years, evidence of last meeting, verification that you are a US citizen, circumstances of meeting, marriage termination, photos, G-325As....they could want any of the above or something else! When the RFE arrives, they'll let you know what they want. You may get a page with many "options" and USCIS will have checked the box(es) that applies to you.

Mar 28, 2007 - Marriage License app

April 4, 2007 - Our Wedding Day!

April 12, 2007 - Apply for SS card with married name

April 20, 2007 - Received SS card

AOS

June 4, 2007 - Mailed AOS

June 6, 2007 - USCIS received

June 11, 2007 - NOA1 for I-485

July 18, 2007 - Biometrics completed

July 20, 2007 - Case transferred from MSC to CSC

July 31, 2007 - AOS Approved - 57 days - Without an Interview!

Aug 06, 2007 - Received Green Card in the mail today!

Jan 8, 2009 @ 8:18PM - Our son was born tonight !!

I-751 - Remove Conditions

July 11, 2009 - Certified Mail to VSC I-751 Package

July 14, 2009 - Check cleared bank

July 20, 2009 - NOA1 & 1 yr extension - Receipt date is July 14. Case# assigned

Sept 1, 2009 - Biometrics completed

Nov 25, 2009 - I-751 is approved. No Interview.

Dec 14, 2009 - 10yr Green Card arrived !

We received an RFE because we sent photocopies of the G-325A, instead of the original signed ones. When we returned the documents they requested, we were approved very shortly afterwards.
