For me whatever name on the passport now (after the annulment) must be the same of your NBI clearance and other documents needed...we have the same situation, but i declared my name on the NBI clearance as a single not the used name before the annulment..I hope this will help you..

Read it here

NBI CLEARANCE. Applicants aged 16 years and older must have a valid Record Clearance for Travel Abroad Purposes from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI). Clearances should be in the applicant’s current name, birth certificate name, maiden name and any aliases or nicknames used, including different spellings you have used of those names. For immigration purposes, an NBI clearance is valid for one (1) year from the date it was issued. The NBI web site is http://www.nbi.gov.ph.

Thanks for the Information. My passport's name is the same as my NBI clearance (single name) and some of my ID's. I guess I should have get another NBI clearance :( . but for Yamandray, You did the same thing too, should I get another one? actually we hired a Fiancevisa services to help out with this process, but they failed to Inform me about this :( . and we paid them for nothing. This forum is much better than hiring services, sigh. well thanks again guys for the info.

Go get your clearance in all names you used. In your case maiden and previous married name.

My wife was annulled and we made the mistake of having the clearance only in her maiden name.

Result: weeks of delay and countless phone calls, even though she brought the correct NBI clearance two days after the successful interview.

I have a sub question for this. Originally we obtained an NBI for my wife, but we didn't get her married name on it since she never used that name.

I am collecting all of the documents for the NVC portion now and want to have them available when the NOA2 arrives. (soon...fingersXd)

I sent her back to get her new NBI with the additional married name on it but it won't be available until 2/20+.

My question:

If the NOA2 arrived before that, and I sent in her DS-230 pkg along with the original NBI I provided a copy in my original I-130 pkg, will the CO just inquire and ask for the NBI that contains her old married name? or will they RFE it at NVC and thus muck up the entire process?

I was hoping that they would process the NVC portion using the original NBI and she could provide the revised NBI at the interview to avoid any problems.

[caveat, if we don't get the NOA2 before 2/21 its a moot point anyways.]

well better wait for 2/20 coz nvc were so strict when it comes to that... if that happen sit';ll delay the process of your case being complete
