i understand that there are some documents that need to be in english if they are written in spanish or any other language.

so my question is since i am fluent in spanish con i translate my fiancees birth certificate, police letter, etc???

someoen told me i could just do this

I have never seen this before but a translated document, by the petitioner, for the petitioner/beneficiary would not go over well in my book. I would suggest an independent person.

It doesn't matter who does the translation. It's perfectly okay for the petitioner or beneficiary to do the translation.

You only need things translated when sending them to the USCIS. The papers/documents your fiance is taking to Juarez for his K-1 interview do not need to be translated if they are in Spanish.
