I tried to order from IRs online for our 2011 tax year transcripts - need for me to apply for my citizenship (based on 3 yrs PR and married to hubby for 3 years).

I can apply end of Feb.

But I only have tax years 2009 and 2010 tax transcripts.

IRS message online said 2011 is not ready for me to order yet.

what do I do.??

still request a tax transcript using form 4506-t

2011 returns aren't even due until April so they can't expect you to send that yet. File with the two years you have and take 2011 to the interview.

we paid IRS to get it out the way, and I am eligible to file for citizenship end of Feb and I want to file in time BUT I don't want to file with missing important documents which includes a tax trsncript for year 2011.

yes thats ok cause you have THREE

we only have TWO

You don't have the 2008 return? If you are filing based on 3 year marriage/residency, you should have 3 year tax returns available: 2008, 2009 and 2010 (remember, you filed them with the IRS in 2009, 2010 and 2011). I doubt you did entry, marriage and AOS all within the first two months of 2009, and you need to file for every year you lived in the US, even if that is only partially and even if you had to pay tax in your old country you still need to file here as well.

However, if you file your 2011 return any day now, you can also add that if you really do not have the 2008 one available. I know it's possible because I already have my tax return money back over 2011, and my transcript over 2011 is also available as we speak (I know it's fast than most others, but just showing it is possible to do it if you have all papers available that you need to file). It takes about a week or so after they accepted the return (that is if you file electronically) for them to have the transcript available (but you can also do the tax returns and give them the other extra information).

You may not have the 3rd transcript, but you will have copies of what you file this year for 2011, right? If you've only filed twice since 2009 (and are working on 2011 right now) USCIS does understand that.

I don't t hink there is anything to worry about. Bring what you've filed for 2011 to your interview and who knows, by the time you actually get an interview, you might even be able to get your transcript :)

Yeah I understand that you received your GC in 2009, I could tell by your timeline. I also saw in your timeline that you entered the US in 2008 and filed for AOS in 2008, and thus also had a SSN (since you normally needed this to file for AOS). So far everything is exactly like my own situation. Also, both my wife and I did not work until 2009 in the US, this is again the same as with you. However, and this is the only thing I can imagine that might be different between you and me, I did work in my old country for a part of 2008 and therefore I had to file in both my own country and the USA in 2008 (which was actually cool since that gave me a HUGE return lol). Only if you did not work in your old country either, which of course is possible (I initially assumed you did work in your own country but it doesn't have to be, of course), then yes, you did not have to file indeed. But if you did work in 2008 in your own country, you normally should have filed in both the US and your own country as well.

Either way, I'm sure you are safe with how you will do it now according to your last post (sending a copy the efiled tax return), so it doesn't really matter anyways anymore. Sending the copies of the efiled returns is exactly what I did for the years 2008, 2009 and 2010. If you do, however, want a transcript for 2011 (to just make sure you have it at the interview, in case they ask for it), you can request one at the IRS about a week after they accepted your efiled return and you should then receive it 5-10 days later. So for your interview there is time enough to get that one as well :)
