Hi Everyone,

My husband and I have our AOS interview in Seattle on Oct 2nd. Online our case hasn't been touched since Sept 2nd. I-485/I-765/I-131.

Should I be concerned? I have read through the postings regarding the AOS interview process. I am feeling very nervous now that something is wrong. I haven't received any RFE's in the mail. My husband had his biometrics taken in August. He arrived on a K-1 visa six months ago and was issued his social security number.

Please if anyone can give me some reassurance of the process I would be so grateful. My husband is from Egypt and I am afraid that the FBI name clearance will be our stumbling block. I am hoping that he will get the I-551 stamped in his passport. Should I hope for this?

Please help!

Both my daughter and myself had our AOS interviews at Seattle and found them to be very professional and easy-going. As long as you have all the required documents, you will find it a very pleasant experience. The name check could be a problem, but there will be no way of knowing until your interview. The Seattle office does not issue the I-551 stamp anymore (they did at the time of my own AOS, but not for my daughter's in Feb./06).

As soon as your husband is approved, he will not require the EAD or AP. So, unfortunately, you may have applied for them unnecessarily, but there is never any way of knowing if the AOS will get approved first or not. He will be free to work and travel as soon as his AOS is approved and he receives his Green Card.

Good luck at the interview.
