Singapore Police Clearance

I have a friend na nakilala ko sa medical and her interview is last Dec. 23, okay naman yung interview nya except that she needs to submit Police Clearance from Singapore. Hope you can enlighten us.

You mean po on her interview she did not have the Police Clearance and her visa got denied?

Your visa won't be denied for a missing police clearance but it will be delayed until you can get the police clearance. You won't have an indefinite amount of time after the interview to obtain the clearance but you will have a reasonable amount of time to get it. If everything else went fine during your interview then in most cases the embassy will issue your visa once they get the clearance.

Police clearances can be a big pain in the butt to obtain but if the embassy thinks they are obtainable they will not excuse the requirement in most cases. As I stated earlier it seems this requirement was waived for Singapore for a brief period but that no longer seems to be the case. Rehtse's post also seems to confirm this. The bottom line is you lose nothing except time in not obtaining the clearance prior to the interview. You can wait and see what the embassy says at the interview and hope for the best. You should do what makes the most sense for you and your situation. In any case please let us know what happens.

Have you called the embassy in Manila to see if they will require the police clearance from Singapore?
