Beginning of a Journey

Hello everyone!

I have been lurking on this website for the past few weeks, so I thought I might as well register, in case I'd have questions.

My 'fiancé' (he says we're not engaged yet cause he hasn't given me the ring) and I are at the very beginning of the adventure here. I am from France, but am currently a graduate student in the US. I met Cordell (from North Carolina) at the beginning of 2010, we started dating in April of that year and we decided to get married a few weeks ago. We just told our parents this weekend, they were all happy to hear about it. Since we are getting married in September, we still have time to think of what exactly we need to do for the AOS, but I'm the kind of person who likes having as much information as possible before hand.

I have already looked at the guides and many topics here, so that what seemed like a complicated, overwhelming mess at first is starting to make a lot of sense. I am very relieved a community such as this one exists! I know for now it's early, but if any of you have tips to start with, everything is much appreciated!

I am still sort of a newbie myself, and still working on learning everything I can, but I guess my biggest piece of advice is to just try and be as patient as possible, despite how hard it is.
