yey, "can't wait" to spend all that money! I hoped to have aside enough money to pay for my flight to US, but it seems I'll need more for all these fees. Don't like having my fiance to pay everything from his own pocket.

$350 is payed before the interview its the visa fee. You don't pay them again until you file for AOS a whopping $1070 in the USA after marriage.

I've heard that this has to be paid online before you can get an interview, and I've read that it has to be paid at the time of the interview after the visa is approved.... Any Moscow filers here?

Well, I've added up all the fees, fares and charges and got it figured out.

Gonna cost me just about seventy dollars a pound to bring her here!

May your visa journey be smooth and speedy.

My fiance and her two minor children are now my wife and step-kids, so far we have spent about $13,000 for all expenses.

Filing fee

Visa fee

Medical in country

Air travel

Civil Surgeon to sign off on paperwork in USA

Shots and immunizations expenses

AOS fee

And this is by no means all inclusive. There are travel expenses from the trains to London to time off work for the AOS biometrics. There is all the paperwork needed, certified copies of birth, marriage and divorce papers, proof of custody, taxis to the airport, extra baggage fees, passport sized photos (more than you expect)... and then once they are here and life is well, there is ongoing expenses, food, phone calls home, and so on.

But she is soooo worth it!!!

Yes you need to pay through the bank, like a wire transfer. Then after 48 hours you go online to schedule the interview. It will not let you without the money being confirmed it was received at your countries embassy in moscow. My Fiancee just went though her interview on 1/18/12 in moscow.

Even if you have $10K in the bank when she arrives, believe it will be the quickest money you will every burn thru. Just the AOS lops off a big chunk right away. Then comes new clothes, maybe some furniture, transportation, vacation, wedding, honeymoon, extra food, electricity, gas, etc and so on. (car?) So fellas who are scrimping and saving just to pay for the USCIS process, and barely can pull the dough together to do that, are going to put themselves and new bride in a POOR situation. Therefore I say, Petitioners should wait until they have a solid cash cushion until they bring their bride home. Not saying this applies to the OP. Just sayin'. Good luck!

That girl money pool was good for a chuckle!

Only reason I asked the questions in the OP was.... to know.

My financial profile looks about like the next one, or maybe a little better.

Don't know.

Just ask the question... to know if there was something hidden that I was not seeing on all those sites included in her email letter from the embassy.

Plus, as I continually repeat,... things change AND HAVE CHANGED enough over the past four years, to make one experience a little insecurity, irregardless of past experience.

Last year when my wife had her medical in Bogota, the vaccinations she needed costed , I want to say around 110,000 COP.

That's helpful.

Thanks, Pat.

Last time I checked on the conversion rate, maybe 3 or 4 months ago, that would be maybe $60-$65 USD.

Took a few days off to spend some quality time with Fresy when she arrived here! It's amazing how different life is now -vs- 1 month ago when we had just gotten word of our NOA-2.

Having Fresy here with me makes all the BS we go through worthwhile! Can't put a price on that feeling.

Sometimes I am amazed at how fast money can go, but how slowly it can accumulate.

For me, it always feels like the world knows when I get money, because so many unexpected bills or charges come up at that time making me spend everything I just got!
