One messed up system

The main reasons why I think the US (and many other developed countries where people want to move to, such as Australia, the UK, France, etc) can't have such easy immigration policies:

- The countries would be FULL of immigrants. Diversity is good, but overcrowded countries are expensive to maintain, and it's already hard to find work in the US, factor in millions of immigrants too.

- You can't just bring whoever you want in your family, because while you might be a good person, what if your sister's husband is a criminal? Do you want more criminals in your country?

The system is what it is, for now. Keep writing your congressman. We waited almost two years for everything on a K1, including personal arrangements. USA is special and lucky to us received immigrants. Good Luck to you in your quest.

Oh, no, sorry. Should make sure to quote! It was in response to the OP saying sometimes children need to take care of their elderly parents and the wait time is unfair.

See, you quote me wrong there. I did not say the wait time is unfair because sometimes children want to take care of there elderly. I was commenting on what you said about it's not custom for adults to live with parents in America. Whew!!!

I guess I'm just confused on what wait time seems unfair to you, then? Your original post mentioned proving parent and child relationships, so I thought you were speaking of bringing a parent.

I've always felt there should be a special visa category for twin siblings but I don't think that's going to happen anytime soon

Ok, I see where you can get confused, sorry about that! I post with the thought of myself and my petitioner in mind. If you check my profile you will see I am F1 (USC sponsoring unmarried child over 21)

Oh, gotcha. I saw the F1 but I assumed it was an F1 student visa.
