My wife is so stingy that is bothers me so much. We are at the table and the servings she makes are super small.she is not calorie conscious.i have told her many times to make enough food so that the person at the table wants another serving they can get it.she never understands that.she hoards food and saves everything to be eaten later.you only get one serving, period.it offends me really.i have told her about this so many times but she repeats the same thing over and over.she buys something special from the store and tell me i will put this away for now. we can use it at such and such occassion.i have never seen anybody like this before.please heklp.

Doubt it. It would take very serious effort on HER part to change that.

Maybe offer to do the cooking, then you can make more...

Where is you wife from? This and her life's experiences may have conditioned her to be this way. It can be overcome if she wants.

I had a friend like that growing up. When I stayed at her house, she would make such a small portion of food, I was hungry the whole time I was there. Really isn't a nice feeling. If you can't talk to her about it, maybe you need to seek help from a third party to get her to understand.

Yup sounds like it is your turn do the cooking. Although I can understand where she is coming from. I know people like this and it is very tough to change the behavior. They come from a place where waste is not an option.
