Went to the local Social Security office to change my SSN to my married name, and I was refused because my I-94 expired last month. They can't give me the new card until I receive my EA, Gosh I wish the office told me to come in prior to the I-94 expiration date. My RFE requested the full 2010 Federal Income Tax, not just the first page, and now I have to figure out how to get this within the 87 days indicated on the RFE. IRS wants money for any back copies and it take around 60 days - hopefully we can find the 2010 income return somewhere or see if a transcript will work...gosh such a nuasance when all the information is on the first page...agrhhhhhh

Well, the fact is Tax Transcript is preferred solution for I-864 supplement (aka ultimate solution) you would be no problem at all with the tax transcript. My husband RFE is the same thing, they ask for my dad's company tax reports (sorry, it is like a dictionary) so we sent in tax transcript, his EAD was approved last Monday. Good luck.

Congrats on your husbands EAD, and so happy they accepted the tax transcript...I will try this too then...I just wish my hubby kept all the pages to his 2010 tax return, but knowing the Tax Transcript is the preferred way, that makes it much easier..much Thanks and all the best on your journey.

Hi, yes got it, thanks so much. I will try to get this transcript out ASAP, but on the RFE there is no mention of transcipt on the RFE, just a hand written note in red; " 2010 Federal Income Tax Return".

Did you get the transcipts directly on-line from IRS?

Yup, my RFE was exact as yours and we sent all tax transcripts for 3 years. If you read the instructions of I-864, they state you don't have to send copy of tax returns and documents if you have tax transcript.

Order them here and now, don't wait any second.
